Fort Worth Star-Telegram: Web Designer, 2016-
As a web designer, I create HTML5 and static banner ads in various sizes for advertisers using Adobe Animate, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver CC. I also create elements for rich media ads such as page takeovers, wallpapers, and sliding billboards using a content management system.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram: Ad Designer, 2011-2015
Duties involved creating ads for all products currently published by the Star-Telegram. This included regular retail advertising in the newspaper, high-end product advertising in Indulge, and special products produced by the Star-Telegram and printed by other printing companies. I used Adobe InDesign for all products, including retail ads and special products. Competency required in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram: Spec Artist and Ad Designer, 2006-2011
My job as a spec artist included creating campaigns for different advertisers in various Star-Telegram publications. This included research of a potential customer’s product, finding their logo and making a printable graphic out of it, and writing copy and headlines. I built a variety of different products including door hangers, double-sided inserts, trifold brochures, multi-page books, billboards, and retail advertising including broadsheets and tabloids. I used Adobe InDesign for all products, including retail ads and special products. I also used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as essential parts of the creative process.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram: Full Time Ad Designer, Special Products, 1997-2006
I created various projects and special publications, including 2-sided inserts, four-page broadsheets, multi-page books, postcards, and folding documents.. My job required a knowledge of bleeds, trims, folds, and image area for print jobs. I also had to understand how to lay out a book so that it would paginate properly. Competency required in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
